Sexually Transmitted Infection testing
STI testing services available by appointment:
For low cost testing, visit knowyo.org and bring a voucher to the clinic. A small administration fee will be applied.
These two tests are usually performed together, though chlamydia is much more common. You should have this test annually if you are sexually active with new partners, especially if you are age 25 and under. We offer this testing through urine sample for males or females, or a self-collected vaginal swab for females. We can also test for oral and rectal Chlamydia/gonorrhea.
HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus)
We perform rapid HIV screening through a finger stick. This test looks for the antibodies your body produces in response to HIV, not the actual virus. It takes the average person about 2 -3 months to produce enough antibodies to trip the test. Test results take 15-20 minutes.
HPV (Human Papillomavirus)
HPV is a common viral infection that can cause genital warts and genital cancers. Women aged 21 and older should be screened for HPV with a pap smear.
Herpes is a common viral infection. Testing is available dependent on circumstances. Contact the clinic with questions or concerns.
Hepatitis testing is available though blood work. Call the clinic with questions or concerns.
Syphilis is a potentially serious sexually transmitted disease. In our clinic, we offer a rapid syphilis test with results available in 10 minutes.
